JEISIE BASSIE MUSIC PROFILE
INTRODUCTION
Jeisie Bassie,s love of music had started at an early age and this passion grew when he was living in Johannesburg. Although Jeisie Bassie was hailed from star studded community in New Brighton which produced the likes of Imani Ifani. He was motivated to sing as well write his own songs. Although there was no professional guidance, the self-made singer/songwriter produced up to 30 songs in his career. So as a budding musician, he ensured that his music will be heard in almost all his networks in Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth as well as social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube. Although most of the songs are based on human experiences and life lessons. All the music is addressing the social ills of our society and lower standards of community upbringing.
This might be one of the reasons that Jeisie Bassie music career had come to a grinding halt. But he made a brilliant move by archiving such wealth so that at an appointed time it will be resurrected. And made the decision to look for professionals to assist in developing his career in music.
MY STORYLINE
Jeisie Bassie was born and bred in New Brighton where his love for music was elevated. He was part of the school quire and he also sang at church. He later went to Johannesburg where his music career was revived. He fell in love with African Jazz and Conscience hip hop as the genres that he performed. From singing and graduated to writing his music. Although he did not develop a fully- fledged band but he managed to make recordings or demos on his music. He also featured in many artist songs by the time he was singing at Baseline.
Some of the music is archived in his Facebook page and YouTube. Although there were difficulties on compiling his work, he managed to make a significant progress and staged some live shows in Johannesburg at Baseline and New Brighton at Mendi Arts centre. Although there were bigger plans in pipeline to expose my music like embarking on nationwide tour, this was restricted by lack of financial muscles and support from the music industry.

Each of these songs mentioned above is briefly explained and its meaning is shared below: MIC
It has its meaning originated from the music industry career pitfalls and the fame that potential musicians encounter. The song is described as a subliminal song that spoke about ups and downs that are witnessed by musicians eg. Zahara saga and many others. This song illustrates a person losing a microphone but still fight for it and still retain the Microphones. This literally explains that the musicians have to be strong in character and also resilient when they face setbacks of the industry.
